Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Likewise when you join the waitlist or use the app. By using Likewise, you agree to them.

1. Who can use Likewise

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree to give accurate information and to keep your account details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Likewise is, and is not

Likewise helps you discover and message potential flatmates based on the preferences you share. We are an introduction service. We do not employ, screen, background-check, or vet members, we are not a party to any arrangement you make with another member, and we are not a letting agent or landlord. Any flatshare, tenancy, payment, or agreement is entirely between you and the other people involved.

3. Staying safe

Please use good judgement. Meet new people in public first, do not send money or deposits to someone you have not properly met and verified, and view any property in person. You can block or report any member, and we may act on reports, but you are responsible for your own safety and decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, deceive, or discriminate against other members;
• impersonate anyone, or post false, unlawful, or explicit content;
• use Likewise to advertise, spam, solicit, or run a letting business;
• request money or personal favours under false pretences;
• scrape, hack, or interfere with the service or other members' data.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content within Likewise so we can provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to share whatever you upload.

6. Availability

Likewise is provided "as is" while we are in early access. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any match will lead to a place to live. We may change or pause features as we build.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Likewise is not liable for the conduct of other members, for any arrangement you enter with them, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the community.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
